The Buildings of the French Quarter
They have some really cool building styles (and colors) in the French Quarter. Funny thing is that most of the architecture is actually Spanish, not French. Well, at least after the fire in 1788 when the then ruling Spanish decided that all new construction will be done the Spanish way, buildings touching, close to the street, thick concrete firewall between the buildings, etc. Fun fact: Do you know the difference between a balcony and a gallery? A gallery has supports that run all the way to the ground.
